Open-source license

Trident is free software licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 only (AGPL-3.0-only). The license governs your rights to use, study, modify, and redistribute Trident and the conditions for distributing copies or providing modified versions over a network. This page does not add restrictions to those rights or replace the license. Read the full license for its terms.

Official signed macOS builds are available free of charge. The source code for v0.6.1 is public, and each release links to its matching source tag and archive.

Third-party software and branding

Third-party components retain their own licenses. License texts and notices are bundled with the app and accessible through About and Documentation; see also the credits. The Trident name and icon are covered by a separate trademark policy.

No warranty and limitation of liability

Trident is provided without warranty, to the extent permitted by applicable law. The applicable warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability are in sections 15 and 16 of the AGPL-3.0 license. AI output can be incomplete or incorrect; review it before relying on it.

Your provider accounts and content

You are responsible for the provider accounts and credentials you configure, any charges those providers bill you, and the content you submit or generate. Your provider’s terms and applicable laws continue to apply. See the privacy policy for how local storage, provider requests, and background network activity work.
