Privacy Policy
Last updated June 2, 2026
Trident is a desktop application that runs entirely on your own computer. It has no account system, no sign-in, and no Trident-operated server. We do not collect any information about you.
What we collect
Nothing. Trident has no telemetry, no analytics, no crash or error reporting, no usage tracking, no cookies, and no device identifiers. Nothing about you or how you use the app is ever sent to us, or to anyone else on our behalf.
Your data stays on your machine
Your projects, documents, conversations, and generated images are stored locally on your disk, in a database that sits next to your project files. Any API keys you add are encrypted using your operating system's keychain. None of it leaves your computer except as described below.
Third-party AI providers
When you send a message or generate an image, your prompt and the relevant project content go directly from your computer to the AI provider you chose — Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google — authenticated with your own API key. Trident is only the client: that traffic never passes through any server we operate, and we never see it. Your use of those providers is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
Changes
If a future version of Trident ever introduces a feature that collects data, we will update this page first and make any such collection clearly optional and opt-in.
